I've added a new gallery page for the latest participant in my Neutral Nudes sequence, the distinctive two-tone haired Lorelei.

I've added a new gallery page for my part in an old Tumblr collaborative project, which alas in the new super-censor Tumblr era is now mostly lost: Naked Reading Day self portraits.

I have made a new gallery page to finally get online Self Summary, which was one of my final year projects at university, and the biggest project I've ever done, featuring 30 different people.

Each person in it was asked to pick a word to summarise themselves, with the conceit being that they exchanged their everyday clothing and accoutrements for a physical version of that word that they would then pose with for their portrait. Of course one word can never entirely summarise a person, but the in trying to do so the types of words, and what they mean to people, were most revealing.

I've resisted putting this series online before as it was originally presented as a book, and I had half an idea to see if I could get it published. But having not gotten round to doing that yet, several years later, I feel I would rather just get on and share with the world some of my best work!

I've added a slightly different than usual gallery page, collecting many disparate examples of my early self portraiture. It shows rather nicely how my style has evolved, and the variety of experimentation I took on in my early photographic days. There's plenty of typical cliche of beginner self portraitists in there, but also so some really nice old work. Check it out :)

I've added a bunch of new posts to my drawing blog, catching up on who I've I've had chance to draw this year.

I have added a new gallery page for an old still life series, the first thing I ever shot when I got my first DSLR at uni in fact! In Geometric Autumn I took a variety of autumnal leaves and cut them into quadrilateral shapes, before arranging them into various patterns. While technically flaws, it remains one of my favourite series as it's quite visually unique.  

While shooting this series, I also experienced one of my favourite anecdotes. A falconer was out "walking" his bird, and directed it to fly right at me, clipping my head! 

I have added a new gallery page for a series I shot last year, exploring a nice big and bright unused building, with the help of my friend Sophie.

I have added several new posts on my life drawing blog, chronicling my drawings from the past year or so. Recently I've been hosting my own clothing optional life drawing groups; encouraging friends to both try drawing, and dabble in nudism. The result is a lovely open atmosphere and a much more mixed ability group than most of the other life drawing things I've been too, which can be rather entertaining at times!

I have added a new gallery page for an old set of self portraits I shot some years ago, at the same location I did my more recent shoot with Renata. 

I never managed to make the images work as a set before, but I have done a new edit now, including finding some shots I did not spot first tme around, and quite like the somber tone and odd morning light that ties them all together.

I've added a new gallery page for another old shot with Denise Valentine, Lost in the Electronic Jungle, which was one of the few times I've shot on film, medium format in this case. You can see the whole series on said page.

I've added a new gallery page for two related series, Flux and Multitude, a collection of abstract nudes exploring repetition and motion.

I've been doing yoga lately. I couldn't stay for all of one session this week, so took my camera to shoot my friends instead. Quite like the outcome, yoga seems quite a photogenic activity, very sculptural. More images on the gallery page.

I’ve added a life drawing section to the site. It’s a blog format, so I’ll keep posting new stuff to the top, but the existing posts go way back to my first ever life drawings!

I've added a page for one of my favourite, most technically challenging, and if I do say so myself, mot successful projects, Experiments in the fourth dimension. This series explores time, and how it is captured through photography, with a series of experiments examining different actions occurring around a hypercube, a four dimensional shape.

I've added a page for some images I shot a few years ago, an experiment using duct tape to make geometric patterns on the body. I liked the idea, and sort of liked the images, but there was always something not quite right about them too, so I revisited them to do a fresh edit, and am much happier with the results. The tape still has characteristics which cause imperfections I find bothersome, but the overall effect I like. See the full image set on their own page.

I have added a gallery of images form the first ever nude shoot I did with someone other than myself. Although I still feature, as I had only managed to find one model as of the time I shoot this two person series. In fact it was a pretty funny shoot because of that, with me setting up the shots and then dashing back into frame.

I shot this in the first year at uni, and it generated a good anecdote, as one of our technicians walked in on my setting up the shot, precariously balanced above the other model, us both naked of course, as I set the camera up on a stand directly above where we were shooting on the floor.
